The Application and Therapeutic Factors of Psychodrama for the Hospitalized Alcoholics

Abstract

|
This study aimed to know the application and therapeutic factors of psychodrama for the hospitalized alcoholics. After 8 session psychodrama was carried out for 20 hospitalized alcoholics once a week, this study evaluate Yalom`s therapeutic factor and Heo mikyoung`s therapeutic factor, and at the end of each session, protagonists and audience were interviewed indivisually. Major findings were as follows; In the Yalom`s therapeutic factor scale, ``universiality`` and ``group cohesiveness`` were the most effective factor for protagonist, and ``existential factor`` and ``interpersonal learning`` were found most effective for audience In Heo Mi kyoung`s therapeutic factor scale, ``new perception and understanding``, ``vitality`` were more efffective factor for protagonist, and ``vitality``, ``group moods and its interrelation`` were high ranked for audience. In the interview, ``catharsis`` and ``courage to open`` were more effective factor for protagonist, and ``courage to open`` was the most effective factor for audience. They want more therapeutic, more planned psychodrama. Also they want to get not only emotional ventilation but also cognitive insight.
